Native to Columbia SC, Mr. Decosta graduated from USC with a BA in Political science as well as from Atlanta University with a MBA in finance and information technology. Bios
Although from Bronx NY, Mr. Goodly grew up in Orangeburg SC. There he studied Biology at SC State University. Goodly truly loves to listen to and sing gospel music as well as going camping. Presently, Goodley is self-employed with Paradyse Care LLC as a Private Residential Health Caregiver and Mobile Massage Therapy working with individuals suffering from Dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and other disabilities. In 2015 he served as the Ronnie Carr Foundation for Youth Development Executive Vice President of Business Operations and Communication. Presently he is the Director of Professional Development where he coordinates and facilitates training sessions while focusing on the leadership qualities of team members. As the Director of Social Media, he is responsible for creating content, and maintaining social media postings.
Alvin Cook, affectionately known as "Sweet Al"; by family and friends, was born in New York and spent his teen years in the Orangeburg, SC community. After high school, Alvin began his career with the U.S. government in the Department of Defense. However, he eventually decided to pursue his dream of entrepreneurship. Alvin has always been a strong advocate for helping at-risk kids and his community. He is often seen volunteering at cooking or fundraising events, but his true passion lies in mentoring young kids in both Orangeburg, SC, and New York City. His leadership abilities and drive for success make him an ideal fit for his role as Chief Operating Officer at the Ronnie Carr Foundation. In this position, Alvin utilizes his extensive experience in project and task management to ensure
the organization remains committed and focused on its vision and goals.
Michael Edwards serves as the Grants, Fundraising, and Marketing Director for the Ronnie Carr Foundation, while also holding the position of President of the Double Vision Youth Initiative Foundation. Michael has been a passionate advocate for the youth, homeless, and battered and abused women in the Charlotte, NC community. His yearly food and clothes drives, along with his support for various causes in and around Charlotte, highlight his commitment to making a difference.
Michael's dedication to youth is evident in his efforts to stress the importance of education, assist others in navigating life’s challenges, and promote job readiness. After witnessing the unmet
needs of todays youth and the struggles faced by the homeless, Michael decided to create his own non-profit organization to make a greater impact in his community. Michael attended Benedict College after high school and later joined the military. While pursuing his degree online, he returned to complete it at the University of South Carolina. With a background in operations and logistics management, Michael opened his own accounting and
bookkeeping firm in Charlotte, NC, in 1990.
